Safety and regulatory guide

This guide summarizes important safety, health and regulatory information for the BraX3 device. It complements the printed safety and warranty materials that may ship with the phone. If there is any conflict, follow the instructions provided with your product and local regulations.

Where to find official product information

  • Printed materials - Safety, warranty and quick start information supplied in the box
  • Online documentation - This documentation set, including hardware specifications and warranty pages
  • Device labels - Regulatory marks printed on the device, packaging or included inserts
  • Reseller or carrier site - Region specific notices or terms that may apply in your country

Always follow local laws and regulations that apply to the use of mobile phones and radio equipment.

General safety and handling

  • Use BraX3 in a safe, dry and well ventilated environment
  • Do not expose the phone to open flame, excessive heat, crushing pressure or puncture
  • Avoid operating the device outside typical ambient temperatures for consumer electronics (for example below 0 Β°C or above 35 Β°C) for long periods
  • If the phone becomes very hot, emits a burning smell, makes unusual sounds or behaves unpredictably, power it off and unplug it from the charger
  • Do not attempt to open the device unless you are following a documented repair guide and you understand the risks
  • Do not insert foreign objects into ports, speakers or microphones

If you notice swelling, deformation, cracking or other visible damage, stop using the device and contact support or a qualified repair technician.

Battery and charging safety

BraX3 contains a built in 5000 mAh lithium ion polymer battery. Mishandling lithium batteries can cause overheating, fire or injury.

  • Use only quality USB C chargers and cables that meet local safety standards
  • Do not use a damaged charger, cable or power adapter
  • Charge on a hard, non flammable surface and avoid covering the device while charging
  • Do not charge near flammable materials such as bedding or paper piles
  • Do not expose the battery to fire, high heat sources, microwaves or direct sunlight for prolonged periods
  • Never pierce, crush, bend or incinerate the battery
  • If you see liquid leaking from the device, avoid contact with skin and eyes and seek medical help if irritation occurs

Replacement of the battery should be performed only by experienced users following the BraX3 battery replacement guide, or by a qualified technician. Improper disassembly can damage the device or compromise safety.

Used batteries must be disposed of properly. Recycle batteries through e waste or battery recycling programs, do not throw them in household trash.

Children and vulnerable users

  • BraX3 is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of small children when not supervised
  • Small parts, SIM trays and accessories may present a choking hazard
  • Children and users who need assistance should not attempt repairs or flashing operations without supervision

Medical devices and health considerations

BraX3 contains radios and magnets associated with speakers and sensors that can create electromagnetic fields. These fields may interfere with some implanted medical devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators or cochlear implants.

  • Keep the phone and any wireless charger at a safe distance from implanted medical devices as recommended by your doctor or the device manufacturer
  • If you have a medical device, consult your doctor and the device manufacturer before using BraX3
  • If you suspect interference, move the phone away from the medical device and turn off wireless features if needed

For users who are sensitive to radio frequency exposure, bright light or motion, consider reducing screen brightness, limiting session length, and using accessibility features provided by your selected operating system.

Hearing and sound

Prolonged exposure to loud sound can result in hearing loss.

  • Set the volume to a comfortable level when using wired or wireless headphones
  • Avoid listening at high volume for long periods of time
  • If you experience ringing in the ears, muffled hearing or discomfort, lower the volume or stop using audio output and consult a medical professional

Some countries and regions enforce maximum headphone volume levels. Follow any on screen warnings about high volume listening.

Driving and machine operation

  • Follow local laws about using phones while driving
  • When allowed, use hands free options to keep your attention on the road
  • Do not use BraX3 while operating vehicles, heavy machinery or in situations where distraction could cause injury

Environment, liquids and cleaning

BraX3 does not have a formal IP water or dust resistance rating.

  • Avoid exposing the device to water, high humidity, dust, sand or corrosive environments
  • If the phone gets lightly wet, power it off, disconnect accessories and allow it to dry completely before use
  • Do not charge the device while it is wet or in a very humid environment
  • For cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp, lint free cloth and avoid harsh chemicals, solvents or abrasive cleaners

Radio frequency exposure and SAR

BraX3 uses radio transmitters for cellular networks (5G, 4G, 3G, 2G), Wi Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GNSS location. It complies with international limits for Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), a measure of the rate at which the body absorbs RF energy.

Regulatory limits include:

  • United States and Canada - 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 g of tissue
  • European Union and many other regions - 2.0 W/kg averaged over 10 g of tissue

Approximate BraX3 SAR values (these can vary slightly by region and test conditions):

  • Head - about 0.79 W/kg
  • Body - about 0.80 W/kg
  • Limbs - about 0.73 W/kg

To reduce RF exposure if desired:

  • Use hands free options such as speakerphone or wired headphones
  • Keep the device away from the body when radios are active where practical
  • Minimize time spent with the device transmitting at maximum power in areas with very weak coverage

For the exact SAR values and test conditions for your region and variant, refer to local regulatory databases or the printed regulatory information supplied with your device.

Regulatory compliance

BraX3 is designed to comply with major consumer electronics and radio equipment regulations, including but not limited to:

  • FCC rules for the United States (device identifier 2BN26 BRAX3)
  • CE marking requirements for the European Economic Area
  • RoHS restrictions on hazardous substances

The specific certification marks and identifiers for your unit are printed on the device, packaging or in the included regulatory booklet. If there is a conflict between this page and local regulatory information, always follow the official regulatory documents.

Recycling and environmental information

Electronic devices and batteries should not be disposed of with household waste.

  • Follow local rules for e waste and battery recycling
  • Where available, use dedicated collection points for phones, batteries and chargers
  • Remove personal data from the device or perform a secure wipe before recycling or transferring ownership

For more information on repair, warranty and support, see the BraX3 warranty and repairs pages in this documentation set.
